Been an incredible Summer so far! Amazing time in California in early July, and now on a series of regional festivals. The UMS last weekend in Denver was awesome once again. And very thankful for all the great bands we’ve been playing with as of late. Most of the rest of our Summer shows are in Idaho and Wyoming, but there will be some more NW dates announced soon for the Fall. However, most of the Fall will be dedicated to writing and recording a new album. Full remaining Summer dates below.
Our buddy Joseph Von Stengel out in NY sent us this incredible 8 bit animation for Big News off of our recent Benchwarmers EP. Surprised us with it last week. We were floored. Very excited to share it with y’all. Welcome to Finn Riggins the video game
Just wanted to wish y’all a happy holiday season and merry christmas. Finn Riggins will be recording some songs next week for a micro release this spring, more details coming soon. We’re also playing two shows to wrap up 2011:
Friday, December 30th at Neurolux here in Boise with our reunited friends IN THE SHADOW OF THE MOUNTAIN (so pumped for this!!) and newer locals FOUNTAINS. more details for this show HERE — this show will be hotttt.
Then we’ll be ringing in the New Year up in Hailey with the wild wild FRESSHIES crew. Get your tickets in advance at Fresshies in downtown Hailey or contact us via the contact page to reserve your spot — very limited space!
Here’s one of our new songs — BENCHWARMERS — written and recorded for a collaboration with animator Jason Sievers and modern dance troupe Trey McIntyre Project.
Lots of exciting things in the works for 2012! Especially in March when we’ll be heading back to SXSW in Austin with a bunch of other Boise bands (Built To Spill, Youth Lagoon, Le Fleur, Brett Netson Band, Hillfolk Noir, TEENS and more) as well as helping to host a big festival here in Boise. If you’re not already familiar with TREEFORT MUSIC FEST, we highly recommend you get in the loop because it’s shaping up to be 4 incredible days of music right here in the capitol city of Idaho.
